Intangible cultural heritage is an important part of the history and culture of a nation or region. It carries rich historical memories, national emotions and regional characteristics. Through the visit, children can intuitively feel the unique charm of these cultural heritages, thereby enhancing their sense of identity and pride in local culture and promoting cultural inheritance and development.
01.Historical and cultural heritage
At the beginning, modern technology was combined with the craftsmanship of our ancestors to present us with a shocking video, allowing us to know the mortise and tenon structure in the “dragon boat”, carving, paper cutting and other traditional crafts.
Yueqing boxwood carving is one of the famous three carvings in Zhejiang. It began in the Yuan Dynasty and had a profound influence in the early Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 650 years.
The “dragons” during the Spring Festival are different, and folk activities such as jewelry dragons and bench dragons have formed a colorful Yueqing dragon culture.
Yueqing jewelry dragons, commonly known as “dragon boats”, originated in the late Ming Dynasty and are one of the traditional lantern varieties in Yueqing. In June 2007, “jewelry dragon making skills” were included in the second batch of Zhejiang Province’s intangible cultural heritage list. In November 2014, it was included in the fourth batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
02.VISIT MUSEUM
The museum is an important educational platform. Through exhibitions, explanations, interactive experiences and other means, it teaches children about history and culture. For young people, the museum is an important place to understand history, broaden their horizons and cultivate aesthetics.
The collections and exhibitions of the museum often transcend the boundaries of region, nation and time, showing the unique charm and diversity of different cultures. This cross-cultural display helps promote exchanges and understanding between different cultures and enhance cross-time and space exchanges with ancestors.
Taking children to visit intangible cultural heritage and museums is a very meaningful activity. It can not only enrich children’s knowledge and improve their comprehensive quality, but also promote the inheritance and development of culture and enhance social responsibility and sense of mission. Let our children pay more attention to the importance of intangible cultural heritage inheritance.
